Vicky Cowhig
Senior Practitioner, Link Social Worker
Vicky holds an Honours Degree in Social Care and a Masters in Social Work from Trinity College, having graduated in 2016. Like all of Origins Social Workers, Vicky is CORU registered.
After graduating from social work, Vicky worked for three years in Tusla in the Dublin North City area on the duty and intake team, as well as the child protection team. She then worked for four years as an independent fostering Assessment Social Worker and carried out many fostering assessments.
Vicky has always worked with children, families and foster carers throughout her career. Before qualifying as a social worker, she worked as a social care worker in residential care settings with young people in the care of Tusla.
Vicky is passionate about supporting children and families through working within a child centered and strengths-based approach. Vicky recently completed a certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy May 2023, and is completing the DDP Level 1 training in Feb 2024.
